Dr. Wiedmeyer completed her Residency in Family and Community Medicine at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN; received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School – Madison, WI; completed post-graduate studies in Molecular Medicine at the Corriell Institute – Camden, NJ; and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, WI. Prior to Medical School, she held senior research positions in both the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industries, and was involved in other areas of research as well; including diabetic retinopathy, cellular immunotherapy and bone marrow transplantation. Additionally, she holds an international patent in cellular immunotherapy.
